TradeCenter
128 is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) pre-certified
Gold building. In making a commitment to a cleaner, more energy-efficient
environment, Cummings Properties is mandated by both state statute
and LEED requirements to maintain a recycling program in the building.
We hope your organization will embrace the green nature of this
effort and participate fully in this important program.
Cummings
Properties is responsible for maintaining most clients' cleaning
programs including paper recycling and waste removal. We have instructed
your cleaner to collect pre-selected waste components and transport
them to the appropriate building receptacles. Accordingly, trash
and recylcing materials must be deposited into the appropriate containers.
Paper
Recycling
Paper products, generated in quantity by most office users, make
up the large bulk of all recyclable materials. Clients are expected
to recycle a wide variety of paper materials including;
- Catalogs
- Coated, glossy
and colored paper
- Envelopes
(including windows)
- File folders
- Junk mail
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- Paperboard
- Post-It Notes
- Shredded
stationary and white paper
The
only requirement is that the paper material be separated from trash
waste. The best way to effect this is by maintaining separate recycling
bins at the points of generation.
Cummings
Properties is offering seven-gallon, blue deskside recycle containers
for clients at the below cost rate of only $2 each. To purchase,
please contact your leasing/property
manager.
Cardboard/Bulk
Paper Recycling
Sometimes your firm will generate various paper and cardboard waste
that will not fit in deskside recycling containers, especially upon
move-in. In this case, your firm should make arrangements to bring
these items to the cardboard dumspter located just outside
the southwest corner of the parking garage.
Other
Recyclables (Glass, Plastic and Metal)
Clients may also bring all plastic labeled 1-7, tin beverage containers,
metal, aluminum and glass beverage containers to the designated
"recycling room"
conveniently located in the southwest corner of the first level
of the parking garage (closest to Dana's Café). This room
is always open. Please rinse all materials thoroughly before depositing
in the designated containers and take special care when transporting
your bagged recyclables through the building to avoid staining or
damaging flooring.
Thank
you for your participation in this important program. Happy recycling!
